We have been in our new home for two months now! We absolutely love it. I am not that creative or decisive when it comes to decorating, so I'm just telling myself there is no rush and to do a little at a time. I had planned on taking photos of our house when it was "done", but let's be honest that would probably never happen. Luckily our builder sent a photographer over to take photos for their website, so now I have some to share with you!
Lily's room and the nursery are still works in progress. Only three months to go until the baby is here, so I need to get moving!

Bijou!
It's that time of year again! Sugar Fresh will be a participating vendor at the upcoming Bijou Market. I participated last year in the Provo show, but this year I will only be at the Salt Lake City show. I am so excited to see what the other vendors have come up with. There is so much talent and creativity at Bijou. Come and visit me on Saturday November 26th at Aspen Landing, 6388 South Redwood Road. Can't wait!

My Little Owl
I realize Halloween is old news, but how cute is Lily in her little owl costume? She has worn it around the house every day since, so I guess we're still in the Halloween mood around here!

Updates!
Things have been crazy around here lately, as you can probably gather from my lack of posting. Very exciting things have been going on with our little family. We are expecting another baby in February! We recently found out it's a girl, and we couldn't be happier. I'm well into my 2nd trimester and feeling great. I am just trying to wrap my head around the fact that there will be a newborn around here soon!
We also just moved into our brand new house. Hooray! We built our home with Castle Creek Homes, and they did an amazing job. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking to build in the Weber/Davis area. Trying to put this place together has been quite overwhelming. We are basically starting from scratch since we sold everything when we moved to and from Hawaii. Furniture, decor, kitchen supplies...we are starting new with everything. It has been fun and exhausting at the same time. I am hoping to get this place in shape and have some photos soon!
My little Lily turned 2! What a fun age! I took her to get her 2 year old photos done by Megan Hauze Photography. She did a fabulous job, and I love each and every one! I had to share!
P.S. I have been dying to finish up a few new designs I've been working on. Hopefully I'll get them finished and added to the shop in the next little while...if only there were more hours in the day!

Recent Custom Orders
I get requests for custom orders almost daily. Most customers want to match my prints to a bedding set. I love doing these orders because the customer seems to always end up happy. Putting together a nursery can be a lot of work, and being able to find some art that matches can be a big relief!
I do quite a few custom orders each week, but I thought I'd share these few recent ones with you:
Please email me if you are interested in a custom order.

Real Nurseries
I'm so excited to share these two beautiful nurseries with you. I love seeing my art hanging in a child's room, it is so rewarding!
This first nursery belongs to my dear friend Haley of over 20 years (oh my, I'm old!) and her beautiful baby Devery. Haley is a seriously talented interior designer, as you can see from the photo below. (I am in love with this nursery, if only I had a fraction of her talent!) She sent me a photo of the nursery and I created the matching prints. They are framed in white and sitting on the mantle.
This next photo is from Molly at My Happy House. I just love the color scheme of this nursery. In fact, this order was very memorable because I loved the colors she requested, and thought the finished product turned out so great. So happy to be able to see the nursery the prints were made for!
If you have a room with art from Sugar Fresh that you would like to share, please email me at sugarfreshdesigns@gmail.com. It will make my day!

Serena & Lily - Make Your Bed
Just when I thought I couldn't love Serena & Lily any more, I discover the Make Your Bed page on their website. You can mix and match duvets, euros, pillows, sheets, etc. and it puts it all together for you. Which is perfect for someone like me who has a hard time visualizing and making decisions. Try it out here.

Lions Tigers and Bears
I just realized it's been over a month since I last posted. Time is flying this summer! I spotted these fun greeting cards from Mitchell & Dent on Paper Crave and thought they were too cute not to share. Love that colorful diamond pattern on the back, too.

Sugar Fresh on Studio 5
{press play to begin watching}
Kirsten from 6th Street Design School did a segment on KSL's Studio 5 about her favorite places to find artwork on Etsy. So thrilled that she included Sugar Fresh in her list of favorites! She showcased The Counting Peacock and Together Forever. Thanks, Kirsten!

Holly Mathis Design Board
Love this design board Holly from Holly Mathis Interiors put together. The room is for two little girls, and their mom requested a room that can grow with them and last. I love the idea of putting a bold wallpaper behind the bed, and using simple bedding along with bold drapes and accessories. Holly is so great at putting together children's rooms. I love that she chose to incorporate my Peacock print, I think it coordinates so well.
You can view all the sources for her design here.

Utah Valley Parade of Homes
Well after a year of living in limbo while Jason finished school, we finally are able to buy a place of our own. We have decided to build and are now going through the process of picking everything out, which has been fun but stressful at the same time. So we decided to head down to the Utah Valley Parade of Homes to get some inspiration. All of the homes were of course beautiful, but the clear favorite for me was this coastal-inspired craftsman owned by Cristi of Hiya Papaya. The home was built by Hatfield Homes and most of the furnishings came from Four Chairs Furniture. We were totally blown away, oohing and ahhing over every room.
Gorgeous, right!? I was so happy and surprised to turn the corner out the master bedroom and see my Love print. I thought it went with the style and color scheme of the home so well. I had to snap a photo.
And also of my Home print in the entry.
If you want more info about the house there is a great write up over at House of Turquoise, but if you're in the area you really should go see it in person!

More Hawaii Highlights
We've been back from vacation for over a week now, but between unpacking, laundry, and catching up on orders/emails I haven't had a chance to go through our photos until now. We had such a great time in Hawaii and are already trying to figure out how soon we can return. Coming back to the cold and rainy weather in Utah has been a bit depressing!
These photos are from our time on Oahu. We had an awesome time there, but Big Island will probably always be our favorite...

Hawaii Highlights...So Far
Wow. What an amazing vacation we've had so far! Being away from Hawaii this past year helped me to see it's beauty with new eyes. The beaches, flowers, sunsets, weather...it's all truly breathtaking. I thought I'd share a few photos of what we've been up to so far.
I've taken a million photos so far, I'll share more when we return!
Watched the sun set over the Kona coast
Introduced Lily to these cute sea turtles
Lots of hours at the beach
Jason officially became a Doctor of Pharmacy!

And we're off...
Leaving tomorrow morning for Hawaii and I can't wait. I have been so homesick for the weather, the sights, sounds and even smells of our old home. We are spending one week on the Big Island and another on Oahu. Heaven. But the main event is that I'll get to see my husband graduate from UH's pharmacy school. I'm so proud!

Happy Mother's Day!
I love that we get to spend today celebrating mothers! I am so thankful I get to be my little Lily's mama.
Motherhood is such a blessing.
Happy Mother's Day to all of you!

Mother's Day Free Printable
Now that Easter is behind us, it's time to look forward to Mother's Day, which is already less than two weeks away!
I decided to design a print that you could hang in your home or give as a gift this Mother's Day. I love the saying, "God could not be everywhere, and therefore he made mothers", which comes from a Jewish proverb. Being a mother is truly a divine calling, and this saying is a beautiful reminder.
Feel free to download, print, and share. All images are 8x10 jpegs and are for personal use only. If sharing or posting on a blog, please link back to this post. Thank you! Enjoy!
