I was so happy to see my Somewhere Over the Rainbow print featured in Pregnancy and Newborn Magazine this month! Check out the darling rainbow nursery theme they created below.

Adeline's Pink Big Girl Room
Wow, I just love this beautiful room Kasia from Simply P. Chee created for her daughter Adeline. She incorporated my Peaceful Tree Series framed beautifully above the bed. I think this room might be every little girl's dream!
Adeline's room was also featured here on Apartment Therapy.

Shop is Open!
Things have been busy around here with this little one...
But I decided it was time to reopen my shop this week. It feels good to get back to work. I'm hoping I can keep up with it all...wish me luck!

Our New Arrival
Nora Ruth
I can't believe it's been nearly five weeks since our little Nora arrived! She is such an angel and has brought us so much joy. What a blessing it is to be a mommy to two healthy daughters. Lily just loves her baby sister and is always so happy when Nora is awake so she can hold her and sing to her. We are still adjusting to being a family of four, although in some ways seems like Nora has been here forever. I can't imagine life without her!

Nursery Inspiration
Loving this coral and aqua nursery. One of my favorite color combinations.
Loved this article on Apartment Therapy on using two wall colors, especially in children's rooms.

A couple shots of my pregnant belly. I wasn't planning on taking any pictures while pregnant, but lately I've been feeling like I should be documenting this time in my life, for me and for the peanut. I'm 36 weeks now and am trying to enjoy these last few weeks without getting too anxious. So excited to meet this baby girl.

Somewhere Over the Rainbow

| Somewhere Over the Rainbow Print |
I just added this design to the shop today, available in three color choices. Of course, customizing the colors is also available.
It's funny how I have been carrying the idea for this print around in my head for what seems like forever. Months and months have gone by and I just didn't have the inspiration to put it together. The other night I was exhausted and dying to get in bed, and the idea for the design just popped in my head. Of course I couldn't sleep after that. A late night or two later this is what I came up with, and I'm so happy with how it came together.
"Somewhere Over the Rainbow" is a favorite song to many, but it's extra special to me because it is a song we chose for our wedding. I chose this particular verse because I find it to be inspiring, especially for a young child with big dreams. I am planning on putting a copy of this in the baby's room....I'll share photos soon.

Just Added
Some new work added to the shop!
I actually finished this Butterfly Series a while ago and have it hung in my daughter Lily's room above her bed (see top photo). I wasn't sure if I was going to add it to the shop, but the more I look each day in her room the more I love it. I'm hoping you will, too.
I also added the "Miracles" print to the shop. This was a design I finished a year ago for charity. It is still a favorite of mine so I decided to make it available for purchase again.
With the move, being 8 months pregnant and chasing a toddler around I haven't had as much time/energy as I would like to create. I have really missed coming up with new designs and am hoping to find some time in the next few weeks to sit down and put the ideas in my head into Illustrator. Only a few more weeks until baby girl arrives and the craziness starts all over again!

Our Home
We have been in our new home for two months now! We absolutely love it. I am not that creative or decisive when it comes to decorating, so I'm just telling myself there is no rush and to do a little at a time. I had planned on taking photos of our house when it was "done", but let's be honest that would probably never happen. Luckily our builder sent a photographer over to take photos for their website, so now I have some to share with you!
Lily's room and the nursery are still works in progress. Only three months to go until the baby is here, so I need to get moving!

Bijou!
It's that time of year again! Sugar Fresh will be a participating vendor at the upcoming Bijou Market. I participated last year in the Provo show, but this year I will only be at the Salt Lake City show. I am so excited to see what the other vendors have come up with. There is so much talent and creativity at Bijou. Come and visit me on Saturday November 26th at Aspen Landing, 6388 South Redwood Road. Can't wait!

My Little Owl
I realize Halloween is old news, but how cute is Lily in her little owl costume? She has worn it around the house every day since, so I guess we're still in the Halloween mood around here!

Updates!
Things have been crazy around here lately, as you can probably gather from my lack of posting. Very exciting things have been going on with our little family. We are expecting another baby in February! We recently found out it's a girl, and we couldn't be happier. I'm well into my 2nd trimester and feeling great. I am just trying to wrap my head around the fact that there will be a newborn around here soon!
We also just moved into our brand new house. Hooray! We built our home with Castle Creek Homes, and they did an amazing job. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking to build in the Weber/Davis area. Trying to put this place together has been quite overwhelming. We are basically starting from scratch since we sold everything when we moved to and from Hawaii. Furniture, decor, kitchen supplies...we are starting new with everything. It has been fun and exhausting at the same time. I am hoping to get this place in shape and have some photos soon!
My little Lily turned 2! What a fun age! I took her to get her 2 year old photos done by Megan Hauze Photography. She did a fabulous job, and I love each and every one! I had to share!
P.S. I have been dying to finish up a few new designs I've been working on. Hopefully I'll get them finished and added to the shop in the next little while...if only there were more hours in the day!
